Yeah, there's a few entries hidden back there from the past week, waiting to be written. Just can't seem to find the time...

But I wanted at least to have a new photo to greet most of you on a Monday morning:

We and those bison were well within the smoke plume coming off the wildfire by Jackson Lake. It smelled and tasted like sitting around a campfire.

The fun part of that shot?

We're in a part of the park that probably 99+% of the tourists never set foot in, even though their highway is in sight.

And we were a whole heck of a lot closer to those bison than we were to our vehicle. With naught between them and us, nor us and the SUV. With even more bison on our right, and others behind us on our left.

No, we weren't actually in amongst them.

But it felt that way.
