DIA at night I think this was only my third trip to DIA (Denver International Airport). I think I like it. At least, at night, when it isn't jam full of people. 'Course the French restaurant closes at eight, and closes their cafe with the wonderful raspberry scones and chocolate muffins at nine, so there is a drawback to late night. But, thanks to the wife's paranoia ("What if an accident closes the highway?"), we had over two hours to kill in that place before youngest son's plane would arrive. And when we weren't eating scones and muffins whilst doing the Sunday crossword... We were walking. And I was taking pictures. We were surprised to find numerous symbols imbedded in the floor granites around the fountain. Just somehow managed to not see those on the other visits. Some of you locals can probably recognize this one. Some places were considerably more interesting without people in them. Others, maybe not. But it was the wife who noticed this odd fellow. Hanging around one of the baggage claim carousels. |
