cinematic confession I suppose everyone has cinematic guilty pleasures... films or programs that they watch and enjoy, but would never confess to others. The wife and I just finished watching one of ours. On the Disney channel, no less. If that isn't embarrassing enough. And, as usual, we hadn't planned on watching it. It was past the heelers' bedtime, after all, judging by the tired looks the little maskless one gave us before she curled up tight between our hips. But the movie was near one of its great moments (it has more than a handful), and past almost all the silly, stupid, hard to sit through scenes (it has enough to warrant definition as a "Disney" film), so as I surfed onto it, we stayed. To the very end. There have been times when we sat through this entire film twice in one evening. Entirely. And cried at the appropriate moments both times. The film? Don't tell anyone, 'kay? The Parent Trap. The one with Lindsey Lohan. |
