Another long day. Things that won't get written up tonight:

The mauve sunrise (or was it fuschia?).

A field day without heelers (yes, it's boring).

Traffic and headlights in the desert.

Watching a coyote watching sage grouse strut.

More plovers.

Double-checking the boss's boss's work (not really, but that's what he thinks I'm doing.)

Meeting in regional town.

Heated debate about Iraq and North Korea over a Mexican lunch. Really the first war argument I've been in since this all started. This with people packing sidearms at the time.

Hurrying home for the awards dinner at which youngest son was one of the honorees. The one where I forgot to take the camera. The camera that is otherwise practically attached at the hip everywhere I go.
