The things I could tell you about today, if I only had the time.
The leks, of course, although nothing exciting there. Cold, though (29 degrees).
The old cabin and the note: "To Whom...."
The dead horse, and the elk right where I was saying there ought to be elk.
The mirage.
The grey canid that probably was a coyote, but hey, it could have been something bigger. Especially considering where we were.
The plovers. Plovers everywhere.
The pin-prick in my left thumb.
And the Swainson's hawk that we are ferrying to Central City as soon as I get some lunch (which, yes, explains why my thumb hurts (just a little)).
If only I had the time...
