Poorwill died today.
And that is probably enough to say. He (we're fairly certain he was a 'he'... learned a lot about poorwills in the last 11 days) lasted 10 days more than I thought he would. And he really had no future. No future at all.
But those eyes... with those eyes, we had to do all we could, you know?
