mouse news Forgot to mention... No mouse in the trap this morning. Which suggests the mouse I exiled to the park was the only mouse we had trespassing. Still feel bad about that. And for those of you blaming the wife, no, that's not her feelings at all. She figures a wild species of mouse should be living in the wild. Taking its chances with the owls, hawks, coyotes, prairie dogs and starvation. Me, I just keep thinking about a cute mouse who had it all made, as mouse life goes, and was almost nonchalant about being trapped. And I took that all away from him. With only about a week before the next big snow. Oh, in other news... Youngest son was here this evening. For all of ten minutes, almost all of which was spent scritching his heeler. Who looked like she somehow knew he wasn't staying. Nope, just here to watch his Alma Mater's marching band perform. They apparently have a great Hawai'ian routine, which warranted mention in the statewide newspaper. I warned him he best stop by to see his mother before heading back to University Town. Seeing as how she took off from work and spent the entire afternoon hassling with the federal student loan website to get him his money for this semester. Seems she already did all this, way back in May. But apparently, either a) the system gave him the loan credit for last school year because, hey, who would apply for the next year's loan that early, or b) she qualified me for a student loan, not him. Think youngest son would be upset if I came to college to room with him? |
