The Diarist Awards So. I won. Some of you may have noticed the new purple graphic on the left, there. Thanks to nominations from some of you, my Hooters entry was selected as a finalist in the Romantic Entry category of The Diarist Awards for the 3rd Quarter of this year. And won. Thanks to all of you who voted to grant me this honour. If you haven't checked out the other two finalist entries in this category, I would recommend them. The "All In Our Uniforms, Black and Black" entry by Kythryne Aisling is a touching commentary on her special attachment to, not a person, but a city. A city of eight million souls where she has planted her roots: New York. Looking at my stats, it appears most folks who checked out this quarter's nominees simply read the nominated entry, and did not delve deeper into other parts of the author's journal. In the case of fellow Dlander Bush's (no, not that Bush) entry "Waiting for Tush to Appear Again", you don't get a true perspective on her nominated entry unless you go back in her archives and see that entry for what it was, a testimonial and a step in the recovery from the loss of a loved one. Worthy entries, each one. So thanks again to those who voted. And that's enough linking for one day... a new photo: |
