Anybody know how long Hickory Farms sausages and cheeses remain edible?

We really need to know.

Wife was cleaning up through the boxes piled in the corner of the dining room today, and found a Hickory Farms sausage and cheese gift box left over from Christmas.

Right next to a shopping bag with ceramic-hard Tootsie Rolls and Snickers bars. Receipt in the bag was dated from October. Leftover Hallowe'en candy.

Are they still good?

How about if we soak 'em for a couple hours?

Hard to believe we had two teenaged boys in the house, and yet food sat around without being consumed.
