Well, the burning sensation in my stomach yesterday wasn't just in anticipation of the helicopter flights. After purging what little it contained (without getting anywhere near anything that uses aircraft fuel), I spent the entire day in bed, with chills and fever.

Don't get sick often. This is noteworthy.

Good thing I didn't have to fly. Would have been hard to bear. The good news is, I got to sleep in the bed last night. First time in like three to four weeks. Felt good.

Feeling fine today, and the air is cold and pretty much calm. Boss just called, and the folks up north are getting a late start. Been snowing there, and since they were grounded yesterday, the crew gave the chopper one of its 100-hour service jobs. Which means a short test flight before they resume charters.

But I will probably be up around noon or so. If the wind hasn't picked up, should be able to get the north and south sides of the Ferrises done.

Got a new pilot this year. Hate having to break in new pilots. Means spending an inordinate amount of time telling them exactly where you want to fly. And when flying, I need to keep my concentration on equilibrium, not conversation.
