I have lost track of how many once-in-a-lifetime astronomical events we have missed out on because of clouds. Tempted to jump in the Explorer and drive east as fast as I can to see if I can outrun them. Could just see the conversation the next morning...

Oh, I drove three hours to Capitol City to look at the shooting stars and have some breakfast. How was your sleep?

What I should do, since I'm awake anyways, is get loaded up and go elk hunting. My season closes Tuesday and I haven't even gone out yet.
