final fantasy

Just got back from Final Fantasy. I won't bore you with a movie review. Great animation effects, but not perfect. Youngest son musta hurt his foot, kicking the back of my seat in the car as I listed all the things I caught wrong with it.

None of them major. A good flick.

But there was a sphinx moth in the theatre. Wife nudged my elbow to point it out early in the movie. It was trying to get into the screen.

It disappeared for most of the movie, but fluttered through the projection beam near the end, right over our heads. Cool effect.

Added to all the fake pyrotechnics on the screen.

But the real neat part was at the very end.

Where the movie ends with the heroine watching a sunset (or sunrise, depending on your perspective).

The sphinx moth was trying to fly into the sun.

Really.
