Taken from the lookout point on the south side of Lions Gate Bridge. Which was filled with high school-aged tourists from Taiwan at the time.

As we headed back through the city center to get to the States, we missed the 2012 Vancouver Underwear Affair by mere hours.

I think the wife planned it that way. The traffic was gone, but not the race security...

Once back in the USA, we discovered that either a) some communities saved their Independence Day fireworks shows until the weekend, or b) the casinos have shows every Saturday night.

Either way, we enjoyed several shows on the drive south.

And, for fun, a quick snap of the Space Needle and part of Seattle as we went whizzing by at 60 mph a little before midnight.
