Yes, it's a Monday morning.

Woke up to find the temple on my glasses was broken.

And I somehow lost my good winter coat (and the gloves... especially miss the gloves) on our weekend trip. No idea where.

And the truck battery was dead. Just from a cell phone charging.

Hence making me make the wife late for work, since we had to jump the truck to get it started to get it in to town to get the door fixed (which I did not break) that has been needing to be fixed since September.

Things could be worse...

Pull up to the body shop and am surprised to see standing open water in front. Surprising, since we've been below zero degrees for over two days.

Go inside to find a fellow sweeping water off the office floor and out the door. And a shop owner trying to get water off his desk, and files, and tables, and walls, and photos, and clocks...

Yeah. Having a water pipe break in your ceiling over the weekend is certainly worse than broken glasses, a lost coat and a dead battery.

But it's a Monday for sure.

And now, on my first day of vacation time for the holidays, I am off.

To a meeting.

Yeah. Unpaid working on a day off. Nothing new.

But as a treat to myself, I'm wearing a civilian shirt, instead of the uniform.

A red civilian shirt...
