the rattler that bit my boot
It was right after I took this picture:
that I felt it.
An odd vibration on my chest.
With a little tingling noise.
Damn. Phone.
So I pull it out and answer. One of my wardens.
I can't really talk right now. I'm on my knees taking pictures of a rattlesnake...
"Oh. Well, I just wanted to see if you ever got ahold of Bill."
He's the one standing a few feet away, pokin' the rattlesnake with a stick.
"Oh. Well, I guess you did, then."
