Remember the last part of this entry?

Well, she did it again, bailing out to drag race her masked sister on their first outing of this morning. Left leg, this time though, instead of the right. And I got so close to leaving both of them home today so they could sleep in with the wife.

So the little maskless heeler is sleeping on the floor tonight, on a leash. By her boy. With a vet appointment tomorrow. He's optimistic that it might just be a sprain.

It's not. If anything, it's worse than last year's tear. So, probably surgery again, and weeks of recovery.

Poor little heeler.

Dare I mention this is the 4th anniversary of another heeler accident? And that we were less than three miles from that spot, working the same season?

I think from now on, heelers will stay home when the desert elk hunt opens.
