The heeler sisters and I went to the dump this afternoon.

Took two trips. Nineteen bags of trash, two buckets of dog feces.

Yeah, it's been a while. Since before strutting season, I suspect. Had to gas up the Dodge (after jump-starting it). First time it was refueled in 2005. Last time it was gassed up, gasoline was $1.759 a gallon.

Yeah, it's been a while. Now that temperatures are staying above freezing, I won't be able to let that chore slide anymore.

Sisters were thrilled, though. They got dog biscuits at the landfill gate twice in one day! If they had their way, we'd make a separate trip for each bag.

On the way home on the second trip, we made our obligatory stop at McD's for double cheeseburgers, plain. Masked heeler was thrilled again, but her sister gave me a little glare before snarfing down her pieces.

"You cheated us on the first trip, you know."
