They're done!
The last of the annual herd reports went up the wire this evening.
Almost two weeks overdue, but the boss has been gone on leave since the 3rd, so it's not like he has been waiting for them all this time. But it will still count against me being so late.
Now need to get started on the sage grouse reports. If all goes well, they will be done by the end of the month.
Need to get into the field, somehow, somewhen.
Was moving the pickup up the curb to get it away from a sprinkler yesterday when it occurred to me I haven't really used it since we relocated the owlets.
And I was exagerating when I reported 'miles used' as "one" that day.
Definitely need to get into the country. Go look for some grouse broods, or something. Masked heeler is eager to go somewhere, too.
Oh, on other news... got the Explorer back on Friday. Finally. And we are now $3,188 poorer.
Since that was over $200 less than the estimate, I asked the wife if I could put that $200 towards a digital camera.
She didn't say no.
The other news? Got mail from the IRS on the same day. Seems the wife miscalculated our tax obligations.
We're getting $2.26 back.
Can you imagine that? Even the IRS is more generous (and honest) than good ol' Wubya.
