I have read other entries of diaryists wondering how to console someone over the internet.

I don't know either, and wish I did.

Happened to be there when my future wife found out her grandmother had died. Didn't know what to say then either, even when I was in the same room. Just held her for what seemed like hours in her living room as she soaked my shirt with her tears.

Beight, I'm sorry for you and your Dad.

I hope you have someone to soak up your tears.
