snow in june The forecast called for snow, down to 8,000 feet. It did that. And a little bit lower. When we awoke, our spring green yard of yesterday was a winter white. And it's snowing still. Big, wet white flakes. Springtime along the Divide. Our neighbor's freshly mown lawn made an interesting pattern in white. But, of course, as magical as this may feel, it will bring problems. To young wildlife newly born or hatched. Cold-blooded herptiles expecting a warm and welcoming world. And prepubescent fruit. And flowers. Let us not forget the flowers. |
