views from on high Seems like ages since I posted a photo. Or anything, for that matter. And, as I peruse the images available, they're either not really good enough, or they ought really to have something said about them. Something I'm unwilling to take the time for, right now. So, here's a cheater. Not really a great shot. Not really interesting enough to mention in any detail. That's the Continental Divide down there, folks. Still with some large snowbanks at the end of June. The grey, dry Pacific side on the left, green Atlantic on the right. Amazing the difference a little snow can make. Wish we'd gotten some more. That shot, by the way, is right about here. Yeah, I'm still playing with Google maps. And I gotta admit, I was spending most of my time looking at places I know. But it was Sylvery who hinted at the potential for looking at places I did not know. Got a list. Maybe have to share it here some time. But Sunday afternoon, I killed more than a couple hours watching The Bourne Supremacy and pausing to try to find satellite views of actual sites where the film was shot. Like Alexanderplatz. Still looking for the Orennyi housing projects... |
