aspen and old ash Another shot from a September flight, since I've really got nothing to say about today. (Reading an Environmental Impact Statement. What a thrill.) One of our collared elk spent much of her summer in that aspen-filled draw. And you can clearly see the layer of volcanic ash from Yellowstone there along the crest of the Divide. And capping the hills beyond, too. Oh, and the wife reported running into the Chief of Police. He was, to quote her, "thrilled" that we got the Toyota to run and move. Seems that it's not that he'd received any complaints about that vehicle sitting there without moving, but they were preparing to file papers against several others in town that had generated complaints. To be fair, they were going to have to file against us, too. Okay. I'll buy that. But we're in the clear, now. |
