biscuits & monuments Since I really don't have anything to say about today, a photo from October, after the first significant snowfall of the winter. In other trivial news... Remember my mention about cleaning out the refrigerator yesterday? I suppose it is noteworthy to note that we did not find any plastic baggies filled with bloody bones, or teeth, or suspicious looking fish. Makes me feel like I'm not really doing my job, you know? We did find four tubes of biscuit dough that were waaaay past expiration dates. Now I suppose, in most normal households, those would be promptly pitched in the garbage, and that would be that. Not our house. Not my wife. No, each of those four tubes was opened (each with a tremendously loud 'Bang!'), and the contents properly baked. Then all the biscuits taken outside and left for the birds. Waste not... And in other news... One of you New Englanders recently complained about having thoughts that seemed to dwell on death. Maybe it's the time of year. No, I've not been having thoughts about death. Death, no. Headstones, yes. The wife and I share the idea about what we would like ours to look like. Something not found in any of the local cemeteries we've visited. Something a lot like number 32 here. The wife asked me if I thought the neighbors would be upset if we ordered it ahead of time, and just kept it in the back yard until we needed it. |
