As promised, a few more shots from yesterday's elk flight.

Without a lot of narrative, though. (Which may be good, I don't know.)

As on several previous flights, the first rays of the day were just touching the rims as we headed out of town.

Elk dead ahead...

although none wearing a collar (or, at least, one of the collars we're tracking).

No collars on any of this small bunch either.

Nor these, toughing it out near the top.

Nor these, cresting a ridge.

But these 13 elk, farther south?

One of them is wearing radio number 503.

And finally, our landing. Ninety-nine minutes after takeoff.

Me with my sick sack in hand.

Empty, but ready.
