border lands Every time we've flown over the border country this fall, I've been afraid it would be the last time. Only two of our radio-collared elk have gone that far south, and once they start moving towards their expected winter ranges in the north, I'll no longer have any excuse to see that country from the air. And no reason to believe we'll have the funding to follow them again next summer. If they'll even still be alive, or have radios that work. So, another shot of the border, taken on our flight on the 6th. Weather permitting, we go again tomorrow. |
