I'm thinking I should rename this journal "Western Sunsets", since that's what I seem to be filling it up with. But the sunsets have been remarkable lately, and today's no exception.

Wife pointed out the reds are probably enhanced by all the prescribed burns the feds are doing this time of year. Their nearest burn is only twenty miles south of town, and you can smell the burning sage in the air.

I should know if that's Venus or Jupiter up there to the left of the moon, but I don't. They're both supposed to be up in the western sky, but I'll guess that was Venus.
