published

Ooo! Ooo!

I'm published!

Well, sort of. While the pilot and I were flying around Wednesday looking for collared elk, I snapped a shot of the newest major feature to our landscape. And emailed it to the local paper, hoping that, you know, they might put it in the paper.

They did.

In colour, on the back page. Just a "Courtesy Photo", mind you, not a paid-for-publication image. But still, I feel I can now honestly state I'm a "published" photographer.

Nicer still, though, was an email this morning from the paper's main photographer. And I quote:

"Wow, what a great photo. Nice job. That's a keeper."

Admittedly, the image's main attraction is letting you see something from a vantage point that most folks never see. A camera mounted on the wing could do that.

Still feels good.
