gull point reflections A reflective image from Gull Point back in September. A scenic route off the main loop road along the north shore of Lake Yellowstone. Basically, the old highway, with its narrow lanes and steep shoulders following along the lakeshore. A nice place for lunch. I suppose the Gull Point picnic ground, where we parked to walk down and get this shot, would also be a nice place to picnic, but I liked our spot better. Just a small turnout off the highway along the rock wall facing the huge lake. We never did figure out why four or five vehicles, more than half the traffic that passed during our meal, simply pulled into our turnout, turned around and headed back to the main road. And hey, if you ever get to the Gull Point picnic ground, and need to use the latrine, check out the ceiling. When you figure out how and why those footprints got up there, let me know, okay? |
