While the rut is starting up for mule deer, it is just about wrapped up for pronghorn. Or, at least, the does think so, spending all their time stuffing their faces and trying to lay on some fat for the winter, replacing all the energy they spent making milk for fawns this summer. The bucks, however, seem to think there is time for just a few more sparring matches, before their horn sheaths pop off in the next couple of weeks.
