bitten by Mark Never did talk much about our sage grouse wing bee a couple weeks ago. Not a lot to say. Wing numbers were down, so we got done a little quicker than usual. Not to mention some folks are getting better at reading wings. Met in the usual garage. Grungy, maggoty, ammonic wings in this table and that one. Your lunch meats and sandwich makings on that one over there. Travel between the three as you will. Did notice a few things about the garage that I hadn't in years past. First was the job board: Now me, I obviously hadn't been keeping up in the profession, 'cause I didn't even know we were installing bat doors on buildings. Haven't even seen one, even. What are they, little square holes with swing flaps near the ceiling? And I know I've remarked about how scarce trees are in our country. But up here in the Basin, if you see one, I guess it's worth making note of. Although, even in our desert, we aren't so hard nosed as to judge the few trees we have. But I notice here that Melissa considers the one just across the road to just be "passable". Wonder what it takes for a tree to impress her? And no one was surprised to find the hide of some dead critter hanging on the wall. But the little notation on the wood frame was surprising. "Bitten by [emphasis added] Mark" Now wouldn't you like to know the story behind that one? |
