back from the hospital

Okay, we're back.

Eldest son's surgery went well, although it took an hour longer than expected because of a fluke in his anatomy (a vein that everyone else has, he doesn't have, replaced with several smaller veins running someplace else). And he has five holes in his body, rather than the three you're supposed to end up with after this laparoscopic surgery. (Turns out his was the first of its kind in this hospital... who knew? Since his birth was the first "bikini cut" c-section in our community hospital, guess we shouldn't be surprised.)

Took a few (and only a few) notes during the five days, and hope to record them here soon. And maybe some mention about the benchmarks we found while in Central City, and the bison hunt we went on. (I'll leave out the stories about why I told the wife we won't be hunting benchmarks together ever again, and why the eldest son stepped out of a still-moving car. Learn to live with disappointment.)
