All three of the places we stayed over the Memorial Day holiday had this:

Folded toilet paper.

Which I have in the past mistaken as a sign that we were staying in a classy joint. (I'm sure I've mentioned that here before, but I'm too lazy to go back and try to find the link.)

The wife has corrected that view, explaining that what that folded toilet paper means is that some other human hand, of unknown cleanliness, has already touched this piece.

Which she promptly tears off and flushes.

But when we left the first motel, the last thing she did, before we locked the room and left?

She neatly folded the end of the toilet paper roll.

I can hear the maid now... "My god, that man was here for three days and nights and never used the toilet paper!?"
