tameflower photos The wife came home at lunchtime. And could not believe the heeler sisters and I had spent the morning in snow. Deep snow, not high in the mountains, but starting just ten miles north of town. But I can't blame her. Sun's been out all day here. Porch thermometer said 60 degrees at noon. Our neighbor is outside working on his yard, and prepping some concrete work. And we were in 8-10 cm of fresh snow, with ruts of slush on the highway. Here, the flowers are still blooming. Took some photos on Tuesday: This is one of our first two daffodils. While everybody else in the northern hemisphere had these a month ago, ours are just starting to bloom (we're up to three, today). The grape hyacinths have been out for a week or more. And now the tulips are going to town. This was one of four on Tuesday. Now there's close to a dozen blooming or budding. Yeah, I find it hard to believe we were driving and playing in snow just eight hours ago. |
