I have been snapping off dozens and dozens of sunrise photos this month, but so many of them are coming out bland. And I have come to a conclusion.

We need some wildfires.

I mean, the sunrises have been nice, like Friday's. But not fiery like last summer's sunsets. Either full of light pinks

or heavy on the orange.

But not much of the reds. And I figure it's because our air isn't full of all the smoke and dust particles that the wildfires gave us last summer and fall.

We need some smoke.
