I just had to post that picture from Sunday afternoon.

Because that is a sight that has never, ever been seen before in our home.

Leftover scones.

Of course, it helped that youngest son was at work, and not there to eat his share. And that eldest son filled up on his own elf bread concoction before the wife baked her wonderful scones.

And that she doubled the recipe.

Just the same, we have never had scones left over before. Felt so good to be full of scones and tea.

And yes, those last four scones (and the remaining elf bread) were gone by bedtime.
