teaball Isn't this the neatest little teaball you've ever seen? Is it worth $12.50? Yes, there was quite a bit of glassware that came on the flat with the teaball. Including three matched pairs of sugar and creamers. One set from England, another from France. And one with the sugar bowl still about a third full of sugar. And an older glass butter bowl with lid (no old butter inside, fortunately). But nothing we wanted. The wife just wanted the teapot-shaped teaball. And yes, it was still full of tea. Not sure what brand or flavor, though. Or if it was ever used to steep a cup. Not sure which decade the teaball was last used, either. Much of the estate was from the turn of the century. The 20th, not the 21st. Wife says she's not going to try making a cup of tea from the dried residue. Gonna clean it up before using it to make tea in her special Belleek cup. I'm hoping I can convince her to make scones to go with the tea. Hopefully get the rest of my auction notes up tomorrow. If I'm not too busy enjoying tea and scones. |
