belly up

Not much to say about today (or yesterday, for that matter). Been typing in the sage grouse lek data from last spring, entering it into the database so I can write the annual reports, which are, as usual, overdue.

And answering the damn telephone. Seems like a lot more calls than usual, from game wardens, reporters and hunters. Maybe I need to get teenaged boys online more often so I can get some work done.

Not all are concerned about the lack of field work:

In additional news, managed four whole sloe to snack on today. And found we have only three apples left on our tree in the curbing.

Had over fifty last Friday. I picked four to eat, and we found about a dozen knocked down by the wind. But the rest just disappeared.

When taking the heelers to the post office at lunch, found the core of an eaten apple in the intersection. Think I know where our apples went.
