The lab report with the mule deer teeth ages finally arrived, but was also missing the teeth that they misplaced from my first shipment. So I only have data on 20 animals, and am missing ages on almost 50.

Still some interesting things in the data. Had two bucks from the Ferris herd that were seven years old. Pretty impressive. Of the 1002 bucks that were aged in this lab report, only 16 were older than seven years. Half our bucks were at least four years old, so our supply of mature bucks is among the best.

We must be doing something right.

Oldest buck in the state was 11 years old. He came from the prairie hill country in the eastern portion of the state. Oldest doe was 13, and she came from the Hoback south of Jackson.

Noticed our boss in Capitol City harvested a seven year old buck. Suspect we will eventually all hear that story.
