deathly hallows Okay, I enjoyed Harry Potter 7. Having not read the book (and unlikely to, since I got totally disgusted with Jo's writing back in book 4 (or was it 3?)), I still suspect it was wise to break this last part of the story into two films. But geez, did we really have to spend so much time in the forest? (Mind you, that apparently was the Forest of Dean, where family history says one of my ancestors was once the king's game Warden for the Forest of Dean.) And how come the Chosen One, a most powerful wizard, and the "brightest witch of her age" are so easily overcome by low minions of the Dark Lord (aka Tom Riddle). I mean, 7 to 3 odds should have been an easy win for them, especially after what they did in the Ministry of Magic. And let's see... you're a bad guy, and you live in a world of magic where things often don't appear as they seem, and you capture Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger with some third guy. How could you not know who he is? Oh, and I looked at the wife's face at the beach scene with Dobby, and her eyes were wet. Me, I hated Dobby from day 1, just like Jar Jar Binx. Pretty glad he won't be in the final movie. (Kreature, on the other hand, was cool.) Oh, and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) is stunning. Here's hoping we see more of her in the final film. |
