like we're riding on a bus Certainly the shortest doctor's appointment I'd ever seen. Absolutely positive the wife spent more time filling out the myriad forms accompanying modern medical care than we did with the Doc. Not that he hurried. Plenty of time for questions. It was just that we'd all been through this before, eight years ago, so there wasn't a lot to explain, or ask. What I wanted to ask was... when'd you grow the beard, and the shoulder length hair? Is this like a mid-life crisis sort of thing, or is your practice so well established you can dress and look as comfortable as you want now? But I didn't. Next up... radioactive testing... (Regarding the entry title... Doc had the wife sit sideways on the examining table and came up behind her "like we're riding on a bus," and wrapped his hands around her neck to palpate her throat with his fingertips. "Course, if somebody does this to you on a bus, I don't expect you to just sit there...") |
