close mimicry You're right, Lorinda, apparently bullsnakes can flatten their heads to look more like the triangular-headed rattlesnakes that they are trying to mimic. I guess with the flexibility snakes have in their skull bones, we shouldn't be too surprised. But I was, too. I looked at that tail really really close before I picked it up. |
