lost in doubt I loved it at first. Lost. An interesting premise, lots of enjoyable plot twists. But I soon grew to hate it. As odd as it may sound, it became so predictable. You could see where every episode was going in the first five minutes. But they would take an hour to get there. And it wasn't like there lots of nuances that needed time to tell. No, they were just intentionally s.l.o.w. Stringing us along just exactly like old soap operas. Taking three months to tell a two-hour story. All the more advertising to sell, you know. It got so I would watch five to ten minutes of each new episode, then get angry and find something else to do. And check back later with the wife to make sure I had everything figured right. Rarely, rarely were there any surprises. Well, the new season of Lost has been just as predictable. But they've been moving right along. It's been fun. So when the wife got back from her date on Wednesday, I had more fun updating her on what happened in Lost than she had in telling me about Doubt. Pretty sure I made the better choice of viewing entertainment. |
