My thighs ache.

I suppose it's because I spent half of Saturday riding one of these things...

after having not been on one at all for eleven months.

So, once again we were riding the winter range, looking for not these:

but these.

Not so much to see the elk, but to follow their tracks.

And to look at their pee.

All of which were happily a lemon-yellow in color. No hint of pink or orange.

Which means they have not been eating lichen.

Which is a good thing.
