The wife's early morning routine includes turning the stove on under the teapot to heat water for our morning coffees, and then letting the by-then-desperate heelers outside.

Since most of the valentine's activity happened yesterday, around two o'clock this morning I left a little surprise for the wife on the stove, in place of her usual coffee mug (of wolves in Yellowstone, if you care).

And now, I need go get dressed for our double dinner date this evening. Dinner and a movie with the wife's best friend and her husband.

Unfortunately, we got crap for movies in this town. Looks like we're settling for "He's just not that into you."
