flying in the eye of the storm
As the pilot said...
"Good thing you wanted to count antelope here, 'cause we couldn't have done it anyplace else."
And he was right. All the country around us was socked in with clouds.
Except for the small piece, maybe twenty miles long by ten miles wide, that we needed to fly.
One of us must have done something good this week, I replied.
"Ha."
