processing data

Other than forty-some minutes spent visiting with a hunter from who-knows-where about which are the best areas to try to get a license for deer, elk and antelope (This time of year, nonresident hunter calls take up about an hour or two of every day... Sundays included.), most of the day was spent with this:

Taking five columns of data, and expanding and correlating them into 22 columns of data.

And then splitting the data set into three separate spreadsheets.

Well, okay. Actually only two. One for each pronghorn herd we flew last spring.

The third data set was the test run of the software we used on the handheld unit. When the wife and I walked the streets of our little town and conducted a line transect survey of all the flowering plants we could see from the sidewalk.

Probably not much point to running an analysis of that data.

But I think I'll keep it, just the same.

It was a nice walk.
