reflections of the divide

One of the tricks to taking nice pictures is to take lots of pictures.

Lot easier to find a gem among a hundred stones than three or four.

So today, on what should be our next-to-the-last antelope classification route of the year, I stopped where I perceived a photo opportunity.

And promptly captured 65 images.

This evening, as I went through them one by one, I stopped at the third.

That's a Grouse Pic!

Yeah, it's that pretty.

But so was number four. And number five.

After cropping and reducing these, I decided to jump ahead and just look at one in the middle.

Yeah, it was pretty, too. If it was the only one, I would probably (no, certainly) post it here.

As it is, I'll let you enjoy number five:

And yeah, that's the one and only true Continental Divide up there. Covered with 15-some meters of Yellowstone ash.
