Four hours of driving for a 90-minute meeting.

No, no it wasn't really worth it. Pleasant enough as meetings go, and good to meet some new faces (and some not so new, but hey, I don't come to these meetings often, you know).

But did I really have to be there?

No.

Other than the adjective "mandatory".

Shoulda done like at least seven others (including the boss), who decided "mandatory" doesn't really mean what some people think it means.

And of those seven, three of them really shoulda oughta been there. They at least had items on the agenda, and someone who drove five hours just to meet with them.

He was kinda disappointed.

Still, the heelers appreciated the opportunity to escape from the corgi. And snooping and pooping around the corrals.

And the double cheeseburger lunch.

(And in case I don't get around to posting it, the afternoon/evening/night was spent on a quite pleasant classification route.)

And it will be too late by the time you read this, but I hope at least some of you got up to see the lunar eclipse...
