The raven is taking off.

Obviously, it was a trick question. Why else would I ask?

But if you lived here, and knew about our wind, you would have understood just by looking. Because the way the wind was whipping that morning, all the raven had to do was spread its wings and it was immediate lift off.

In other news, we had a corgi here again tonight. Eldest son's girlfriend's house has temporarily lost its water. So they were here doing dishes and laundry, and filling jugs for drinking and washing. Poor little corgi was so worried when left behind on one trip.

Heelers, on the other hand, were thrilled when she finally went home.

Aaaand, I got to practice my Cyrillic today. Shipping a package off to youngest son's hosts. You can (and we did) print out the Cyrillic Russian address for the package, but the Customs form has to be filled out by hand.

Writing words like "индекс" and "квартира" can be kinda fun.

(The wife cheated on her form, tracing a printed version of the address to put impressions of letters on the paper and then following them again with ink.)

Postmaster strongly suggested we also put the address on in English.

Ummmm, we don't know it in English.

How about we just put the city name and index (zipcode) and "Russia" in English?

Pretty sure somebody'll be able to read Russian when it gets that far...
