Not a lot happening today.

Two loooong calls with deer hunters. Both folks from out of state asking about where to hunt in an area that they "know nothing" about. And then both, after over a half-hour of conversation, mentioned my recommendations matched up with those of "other folks" they'd talked to.

Well.

Now I know how doctors feel when someone comes along asking for "a second opinion".

Like I'm not the person they wanted to ask. I'm just there to validate the answers of folks whose opinions they really do value.

Ooookay.

Woulda been nice if they'd said that at the beginning. I could have just said "Yeah, that sounds good to me.", and we both would have been back to our days a lot sooner.

The high point of the day came at the end of the day. A surprise fresh homemade blueberry pie topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Courtesy of eldest son and his girlfriend.

Goood.

The heelers were too terrified of the rain and thunder to even taste the ice cream.

So the corgi got all the plates.
